I have also heard the use of ‘Canadian’ to indicate a reflexive liberal relying on emotion and immune to logic and facts. It would fit the narrative in this instance though that’s not to say it has another connotation in the restaurant trade.

Since when can non-citizens serve on juries?
Incompetence on the part of the court can result in this.
This was my parting gift from the commonwealth. Right before i evacuated I served on a jury in a 1st degree murder trial. To make a long story short, we convicted the punk (not easy though, for a little while I thought we might end up deadlocked). Then right before sentencing we found out of my fellow jurors was in the country illegally, and the conviction was thrown out.
He wasn’t a Canadian though. Other direction.

Well ... Canadians is out ... what about Cambodians, or Cameroonians, Czechs, Colombians, Chinese, Croatians, Cypriots or even Cape Verdians? Black people getting pi$$ed about this is about on par with me being upset for someone saying honkey.

Since when can non-citizens serve on juries? The sentence in the article right before the one you quoted answered your question.
They would have had to have been born in Canada and then became US citizens. I know a number of people that fit that description.
