We don't need another Ron Paul - nutcase to further water down the vote. You should be rejoicing. The people that are supporting Paul, some of these folks are Naderites. Nader is the King of the anti-establishment candidates, even more so than Paul. This will deteriorate Paul's support among the populist left and indepdents even more. And since conservatives have already rejected Paul, then that means Paul will drop out soon and run for his obscure TX Congressional seat again.

Bloomberg/Paul Get real. Bloomberg is a fricking globalist Rockefeller statist from Hell. Paul would never join forces with him.
The irrationality of Paul bashing here is reaching epidemic proportions.

So with McCain, Nader and Billary running there is no doubt we’ll be having a liberal in the White House in 08.

True Southern conservatism. Even when he didnt win, Thompson always polled as the most conservative candidate throughout the south more conservative than Huck, Romney, McCain or Giuliani. The fact that he didnt look like he could win ultimately killed his campaign.
Sometimes I wonder if Hunter could have done better if he was from Georgia and had a southern accent...
He keeps calling himself the true conservative candidate. Hed LOVE to appease conservatives!
I chalk that up to ego more than pandering. He's delusional enough to believe that his amnesty bill was not amnesty. What keeps him from deluding himself to be a true conservative?
He needs the conservative south. Romneys not doing well in the south ... you dont appease conservative southerners by apponting a yankee of questionable conservative pedigree.
Yes, but if you have the choice between Thompson, who never won a state and Huckabee who will likely win most of the south along with his Iowa win, which do you think is the better choice politically? I'm not talking about ideologies, I'm talking about election tactics.

I couldn't see Paul carrying the top of the ticket though. Maybe Paul isn't a pragmatist, but hitching on to Bloomberg gives him $$$ necessary to make a national 3rd party run.

What a weenie! The last person in the race (Thompson) is already out of the race. Nader has missed how many primaries? This is beyond stupid. If he was serious, he would have entered the race when or before Thompson did, when the debates were happening, Is Nader afraid of debates?

Well, there's always the VP spot...

What we need is a decent moonbat 3rd party challenge that will take 10-20 percent from Hillary. I don't think that can be done. Almost all RATS want the WH so bad that they will vote for any RAT, even Hillary. But in a close state, Nader could be all we need to put it in the GOP column. If he siphons off 1% who would have otherwise voted for her, that could do it. It took a lot less than that in FL eight years ago.

If you could get the Iraq moonbats to get mad at Hillary, they might support someone who promises an immediate withdrawal. Sadly, Bush’s success in Iraq makes this less likely. Otherwise, you are right, there is not much chance of a serious leftist challenge to the Dems. Maybe someone can whisper in Algore’s ear.

If a Republican can vote for lunatic, Ron Paul ... there has to be a few wanting to vote for this reject. McCain supporters might go for him.

Bloomburg denies running but you never know ... he’s nuts too and a former Demoncrat. He should have stayed a Cemoncrat.
What we need is a litmus test for Republicans and weed out these LIBERALS.

What are you talking about?
Nadar would not be running on either the dem or GOP ticket. - There will be no debates for him, he will simply be chosen for one obscure third party or another,

Clinton won’t pick Edwards. And I doubt that Thompson would accept an offer from Romney
