Ahh yes because the man I voted for twice was soooo much better on Immigration reform - im sure you voted for GW twice too ;) So? Whats the difference?
I don’t think you have to worry about that with Mccain lol.
We weak, amorous, vulgar Christians can be "pandered" to eh? Nah, no insult here!
He ran an identity politics campaign in Iowa, and that is not a broad enough net to turn into a national campaign that will play outside of rural homogeneous states.
McCain was never accused of "identity politics" in South Carolina and Florida (Military States)
Romney was never accused of "identity politics" in:
I guess that one of Thompson's biggest problems was he could never get anybody to identify with him.
So far, nobody has gotten more than 37% anywhere, but only Huckabee is engaging in: "identity politics". "Identity Politics" is a slur designed for the African Americans who are unenthusiastic but loyal to the liberal plantation. The Social Conservatives, almost all of whom are also Fiscal and Defense Conservatives, are enthusiastically loyal. We will vote over broken glass because we believe that we owe it to God to appreciate His blessings of liberty. We are great to have because we bear insults lightly. But woe unto us when we put the lives of millions of unborn babies as first priority and vote on principle. Abortion must be nipped at but never abolished because the hard fighting Evangelicals might not stay on the Rockefeller RINO plantation otherwise.
Maybe this election, "identity politics" will finally work for the African Americans. Maybe after they are convinced that there are no barriers to them going to the top, they will finally realize that they should vote their consciences and not their feelings. Would to God that the millions of otherwise devout Christians among them will join us in saving the babies of all races who never get to develop the content of their character and who beautiful precious little skins never get to see the light of day.
I know, I know, I know and down deep I’m proud of my party for not rolling with the ‘snakess’ uggh .... but still...
Don’t you jump on me!
I will not be sold on McCain by anyone here - I know McCain.
Now, Romney I don’t have history with. But, Romney is not unstable mentally, is not vengeful with an anger mentioned by many of his cohorts. McCain is scary. McCain is a traitor to us and always will be.
But, Romney does have a nice professional demeanor, is well versed in economics and does not go around throwing tantrums and seeing how he can “show” em.
I have been for conservative candidates all along, I have supported Bush for hours on here against all the critics. A little late to bombard me with criticism - look at those that never once fought the democrats but spent their time running down Bush.
Bush was a great president against what we will have for the foreseeable future. Thanks to the “show em’ a lesson” crowd.
Why is it that someone that has not campaigned at all can sneak in when one getting 5% less than the winner is “out”?
I don’t understand the concern about someone not in the campaign.
Might as well stay home unless you like throwing away your vote.
Looks to me like this election is about “who will give me more from the treasury”?
This is the future - with the illegals sneaking in, wanting freebees, with 50% of the population still a democrat because of ignorance or “wanting from the government”, we are having a hard time drawing people that believe in working for a living, being a major taxpayer, and paying for your own insurance, and costs.
Which ties in with the old steps to the loss of democracy.
When the population realizes they can vote themselves funds from the treasury.....democracy is lost and dictatorship follows. Hillary would be the gateway to dictatorship.
“—I dont trust him on any issue other than the war in Iraq —”
National security is any Presidents first obligation. I have felt Fred Thompson was one of the very few having that foremost in their platform.
hillary clinton will ‘go with the wind’ and Barack Hussein Obama places national security on the very bottom of his list - if it is even on his list.
John McCain has placed our national security on the top of his list, so even with all other issues McCain carries I would have to say, at this point in time, I would go with McCain.
Thank you for your advice.
There’s more to National Security than the Iraq War. I don’t trust McCain on the War on Terror where he wants to close Gitmo, bring detainees here and give them our legal rights as well as wanting to tie the hands of interrogators. He wants to change parts of the Patriot Act. Sorry, I don’t see him as strong on National Security. His temper and temperment don’t put him in good stead for dealing with enemies. So, I am not swayed to trust him OR vote for him.
Y’all know we got a high value AQ target in Pak today.

Y’all also know a lot of the internet was knocked out in the Middle East today.
And then Cheney coming on with scarecely 5 mins notice - normally we’d get at least a days’ notice! - to talk about
FISA: maybe we did get Bin Laden or Zawahiri.
Thats the difference between me and you.. I think GW is great president and a great man.. If you agree with someone 100% on everything your not an individual. I don’t agree with him 100%, I dont agree with my Mother and the Pope 100%.. does that mean I dump on them or not trust them?
I had to think about this for a bit because you make a great point. Here is how I see it.
1. The Dems/Repubs, as the major parties, slug it out. The outsiders want to vote for "None Of The Above". They (defeated canidates) have every right to join in with the proper $$$$ behind them.
2. Any loser in the primary has the right to jump back in if they have the $$$$ and that may happen this time. Not sure who it would be. Probably the Paul nutso since he has so much money.
Heck, this is the first year in history that we could end up with three independents. Of course, nobody knows what would happen then.
Don't forget about Newt. He has gazillion $ and don't know what to do about it.
One more thing. What if either party has a brokered convention? What a mess.
You are making many assumptions. It has nothing to do with the percentage of the time I disagree with Bush. It’s the lack of a conservative philosophy in the issues that I disagree with him - on his part, of course. He’s taken the side of the Democrats - just as McCain does. Repeatedly.
With ‘friends’ like these...you know the rest.
Good thinking, dear flake. I'd been watching the action in Pak for a few days. The sudden appearance by the VP perked up my ears. One thought I had is that we are closing in and we must have the intel capability to finish this job. Some dems may know this and that is why they are trying to stall.
That’s very interesting. I thought the internet outage was not “accidental.”
Of course all of this was missed amid the election frenzy.
Coming in real late.
Zicam REALLY WORKS!
My son’s a doc, told me about
it 6 yrs ago. It works on
killing the cold, not on the
symptoms temporarily. If you’ve
already got it, and use it,
it will shorten its length.
It usually will stop it
dead in the beginning.
I like the nasal gel .. 4 times
a day .. follow the directions
exactly.
There have allegedly been issues
with loss of smell in some .. I’ve
never experienced that in all the
years I’ve been using it.
Feel better .. ;)
Thanks
