AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, from behind the golden EIB microphone, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, Maha-Rushie! America's Anchorman, Truth Detector, and Doctor of Democracy. He is the man who runs America. He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do--That's host. Get ready to what you were born to do--That's listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

Rush has in no way compared Mitt to Reagan. You have cotton in your ears!

You are right. It is true that EVENTUALLY the market will open channels, but look at Soviet Russia: it took 80 years and a lot of outside pressure for that to happen.
If McCain or Hillary start to shut down talk radio, we are a short step from a Nazi Germany-type of state.

"Rush is at the heart of the matter, now. There is no catalyst for Conservatives to rally around; and thats just how the country club crowd likes it."
Did you catch Mitt Romney's interview with Sean Hannity yesterday? Romney is reaching out more than anybody else running to conservative voters. I can only hope that his vote counts go up on Tuesday.

Glenn Beck was saying today that the reason Romney was disliked by the rest of the candidates is because he wont play the political games like the rest do.
This morning on Fox an author on candidates' appearances said that it was because he looked like a Ken doll. That he should mess his hair, put on jeans and go dig a ditch.

Anybody watching the McCain-Huckabee-Romney-Paul debate tonight? hehehe....
To: rintense
Well...I jsut saw that OTHER votes consisted of only 22,000 votes? I find that hard to beleive....I heard on the news that over 1 million people voted when Fred dropped out.
I think that all of Freds votes would of went to Romney....who else??

I got an invitation to go to the local Republican committee meeting tonight, so I’m “debating” going there instead of watching the debate.

I *STILL* want to know the story by the NYT about McCain that got spiked! McCain convinced them to spike.
We need someone to blow that story outta the water.
I think Romney should allude to the spiked story in the debate, and frame it within the context of the first amendment, and then slam McCain Feingold.

To: Miss Didi
Fred's silence is quite telling.I believe the reason for Fred's silence is simple: He sees no one left he is willing to support until they have the nomination. If the reports that he originally sought to be VP and not President are true, he would also poison the well if his endorsee does not win.

The catalyst at this point will be President McCain/Clinton/Obama. Just like Jimmy Carter paved the way for Reagan, the next President will provide an opportunity for a true conservative in 2012 to point to the fresh reminders of the ruinous failure of liberalism. And we desperately need another Newt in the House to go over the leadership, if necessary, and lead a conservative revolt before then.

Could you see Regan going after fellow Republicans with the kind of bitter vitriol that Rush McCain does?

Rush is spinning big time. The fact is he has been slamming McCain for atleast the last fifteen years I’ve been listening. McCain won despite Rush’s efforts.

Rush has made himself irrellevant lately, and its his own doiong. He and others like him have taken to trying to score ideological and partisan points on dubious grounds... they are out there spinning R’s as though they are the same a HillBilly and Obama, etc etc etc.
Talk radio has really really gone nuts this election cycle.
To: rintense
The whole darn primary has been perplexing, IMHO. Granted, this is the first time I really paid attention and got behind a candidate, donated money etc. I totally agree with your knife analogy.

It is Mcquueg vs Billary!
I am voting for Billary!
Then we get congress in 2010 and the oval in 2012.
Remember, Roberts, Alito, Scalia and Thomas are all young...
