We've heard enough laments about 527s and their operations. If Senators running for the Presidency haven't introduced bills that eliminate the problem by this time, then they're simply not serious about the problem.

Wow. There's a recipe for totalitarianism. Our friends in Washington have already limited our ability to fund parties and candidates. Now they want to shut up all sources of information other than the NYT's and their ilk.

The assumption in this article is that only the candidates and the media should control the flow of information. I can't say that I like the idea of the NYT, McCain and HRC deciding what should be discussed and what should not be discussed. Frankly, people should be able to organize to go over the heads of the politicians and the media.

The only limitation on campaign finance should be that the donor's identity and amount contributed be disclosed. That should apply equally to candidates, parties, and other organizations.

What's interesting is what's missing in this Obama campaign. We've been inundated with news on who the blacks are voting for, who women are voting for, who fundamental Christians are voting for, etc.

Has anyone had the balls to report who the Muslims are voting for?

And if it's determined that the Muslims are voting for Obama, how would that jive with everybody's insistence that he's really a Christian? Hmmmm?
