Obama is behind Hillary because of Super Delegats. These are delegats that are not bound by the vote, they just pick who they want. Something like 40% of the total delegat vote is from Super Delegats. This is why Hillary has this already wrapped up - Super delegats are the establishment democrats, which the clintons always owned. They can defect, but that would probably cost them. The media are just building up Obama so they have something to talk about when covering the democrat side.
