A Howard University soccer coach and charter school math teacher was arrested in Louisa County, Virginia as part of an online sex sting.
Authorities took 40-year-old Joseph E. Okoh into custody Friday after he drove from his Arlington, Va. home to meet who he believed was a 13-year-old girl that he had been talking to over the internet.
Louisa County sheriff's office said the coach was talking in a Yahoo Instant Message chat room and that they were "shocked" by how quickly the suspect wanted to meet with the girl after just striking up a conversation.
Okoh was arrested on the side of the road at a predetermined location and charged him with one felony count of using a computer to solicit a person under 15-years-old with lascivious intent. He is being held without bond at the Central Virginia Jail after having a hearing Monday morning.
Okoh is in his first season as Head Men's Soccer coach at Howard. ABC 7/NewsChannel 8 uncovered Okoh is also a seventh and eighth grade math teacher at Meridian Charter School on Florida Avenue in NW, according to staff members.

There’s an old joke about how 75% of the thirteen year old girls on the internet are actually 47 year old FBI agents. With these stories continuing to come out, though, I have to believe that there are a lot of people that aren’t getting caught. If they weren’t having success, they wouldn’t keep fishing.
glad one more predator is out of commission for now.
yep, I swear every time I channel surf by MSNBC, they are having a special show about internet predators, and how they had somebody pretend to be a young girl, and they have the chat transcripts. Then the guy shows up at the house and gets arrested on camera. yep, it makes you think lots of this goes on and lots of people aren’t getting caught.
The Internet.
