It appears that the common consensus here is to take a page from Florida's Senate race last year. Rather than vote for a flakey Repblican they don't like (Kathleen Harris), they stayed at home and acquiesced to the minority of electorate who cast the majority vote to retain the "ultra-conservative" Democrat incumbent Bill Nelson.

The left keeps on talking 'bout a democracy (majority rules0. Many here like to give lip service to something called a republic. We have neighter. Quick now: name the type of government where the the largest voting block of the minority decides everything for the other 5 out of 6 people? Dunno either, but that's what we got.

EVERYBODY votes whether explicitely by expressly voting at the polls or implicitely by not voting at the polls. Its still a vote one way or another. That's the principle behind the Silent Majority.

You either explicitly cast a vote for a candidate, or you explicitly cast a vote against the other candidate (or you implicitely accede to the majority electorate voting block of the minority who explicitly voted for OR against a candidate (as the case may be); thereby casting an implicit tacit acquiescence vote with the majority voting block.

Vote however you wish, just remember, the government you get is the government you deserve.

Many people are wailing and bemoaning "Woe be us!" Wringing their hands, and covering themselves with ashes and sackcloth. What have the Republicans actually done in the last 28 years? AFAIC, the gig was up for me when Newt Gingrich broke his "Contract With America". That's the day the lights went out in Georgia for me.

I think that advanced train of thought will be entirely wasted here...
