Look, I understand your disappointment that Mitt did not win--I'd be just as disappointed had it been McCain who lost. But, neither of you are looking at the "big picture" and it's right before you on Fox news as I type: Add up tonight's Democratic votes, in a contest that didn't even matter, and compare them to the GOP totals. You'll see that they are just about even with Hillary besting every Republican who ran today.

Bottom line: the GOP is going to have to have a candidate that appeals to moderate Democrats and Independents across the country to win. Do you REALLY think that is someone like Mitt Romney?

Florida is a bellwether state and the 4th most populated in the U.S.--If Mitt couldn't win in a closed primary, how the heck do you think he could win against the Clinton slime machine?

As some of us say- don’t blame me- I voted for Fred:)

I’m not disappointed so much that Romney lost- I’m worried because McCain won. I know you support him, and you have every right to do so.

I understand your point about McCain vs Hillary- but I think if you look at the anger and disgust on FR tonight with McCain winning- you’ve got an idea how demoralizing this is for conservatives.

Mind you- this has been a long journey for me- I voted for McCain in the primary for 2000. I didn’t want to come to this place- but i’ve watched and listenedfor the last 8 years and I’ve gradually, even sadly, lost all respect for him.

Winning in 2008 is important, yes- but at what price? When many of us barely see an actual difference between McCain and Democrats...you’ll find few real conservatives turn out for McCain.

As someone who has never voted for other than a Republican for President, I just cant see enough difference between Hillary and McStain to get excited about.

Both buy into Global Warming. Both oppose ANWR drilling. Both will appoint leftist judges - Hillary probably a bit more so, but not much. Both are open-borders. Both opposed Bush’s tax cuts.

Yeah, McCain is better on defense. That’s one thing. And he might drop dead in office, which would be good if he has a conservative VP.

But, Hell, both got the endorsement of the NEW YORK TIMES!!!!

That alone should tell us all we need to know.

It’s Libertarian or Constitution Party for me.

Hank

Baloney. Democrats and Independents will vote Democrat in the general election. Count on it.

McLame is a liberal RINO and sucks bigtime. Not voting for him and I highly recommend no other conservative Pub votes for this mean, vindictive, little man who stabs his “base” in the party repeatedly in the back at every given opportunity, which is what he will do with vigor should he actually ascend to the Presidency. Fie on him.
