Well, excuse me lady, but it doesn't sound much like you should be criticizing someone's "temper" or "temperment" by the tone of your post...I know John McCain is not some wacked-out, half-crazed, hair-trigger ogre because I knew his father and I don't believe the apple falls that far from the tree. I was also around when Mitt's father was anti-war "brainwashed-on-Vietnam" politician when I was in DaNang and I have serious doubts about Mitt's "longing to be with us there" based upon his nearly eight straight years of deferments from the draft.
Ahhh yes, but I’m NOT RUNNING for president, am I?
My position was never as a Romney supporter- though looking at our dwindling choices he looks better to me than McCain.
As to your lecture on having known John McCain’s father- that’s well and good- but we’re not electing his father, are we? This, for me, is about the conservative movement, it’s not about the RNC or the GOP or who of the wheelers and dealers tell me is the best.
This is about LIBERTY.. and McCain has already shown me he has low regard for it.
For every son who is like his father, there is a father who wonders how his son could have shot up a shopping mall or slit the throats of a best friend's family during a midnight trespass.
McCain needs to mend more than fences. Would the Admiral have approved of his McCain-Feingold atrocity? His marital fiasco's?
I doubt it. Most servicemen I know have a certain level of dignity, honor and love of this country's ideals than McCain has shown me, thus far.
We have a difference of opinion, here. But, McCain is certainly not above reproach or criticism. That is not what he, and others, are supposed to have fought for.
