NEWS RELEASE
A new 527 group called RoeGone.org -- the conservative answer to MoveOn.org -- has produced a 60-second web ad responding to Gov. Mitt Romney's challenge to look to his record as governor as an indication of where he stands on the issues.
TV AD -- Romney: "Look at my record as governor"

"Governor Mitt Romney challenged voters to look at his record. RoeGone.org has done just that," said spokesperson Sharon Blakeney, a lawyer in Boerne, Texas.
Blakeney said the group is raising money to place the ad on television in Super Tuesday states later this week. The group also plans to produce ads addressing other politicians' stand on similar issues, she said.
RoeGone.org is a pro-life organization committed to the appointment of judges who will support overturning Roe v. Wade.

Full script of ad:
In the Florida debate, Governor Mitt Romney said:
"I can point to a very simple way to find out exactly where I stand, and that is look at my record as governor."
Really?
As governor, Mitt Romney issued an executive order forcing justices of the peace to perform homosexual weddings, or resign. Then he ordered marriage licenses changed to read party A and party B -- instead of husband and wife.
As governor, Romney appointed a board member of the Lesbian and Gay Bar Association to the bench, and appointed more Democrat judges than Republicans.
As governor, Romney authored and signed a mandatory heath insurance plan backed by Ted Kennedy -- including taxpayer-funded abortion on demand.
As governor, Romney overruled his own health department and forced Catholic hospitals to distribute the morning after abortion pill.
Homosexual marriage? Tax-funded abortions? Catholic hospital morning after pills? Homosexual activist judges?
"Look at my record as governor."
Okay, so who do they support? McCain?
Uh...there is no web site at RoeGone. Who funds it? Is it a 527?
My understanding that much of this was Mass Supreme Court rulings that mandated that he do this. Did they check that out?
I think they should let the man respond, don’t you?
Or put menthol under their noses with accompanying hip waders for the BullShtick!
Does it matter who they support?
LOL.
Way to try and change the subject!
With Mitt, there is always an excuse.
Kind of like, “The Devil made me do it!”
Change the subject? I don’t even like Mitt.
Don't know if the content of your post was intentional, but that line: "The devil made me do it" was a line made famous in the program "Laugh In" by comedian "Flip Wilson".
Voting for Mitt!
BTW, you should have heard Rush’s show slamming McCain. The musical parodies were great!
It’s a McCain front in a half-assed disguise. No self-respecting pro-life organization would try to tip this election in favor of the man whose legislation is designed to silence pro-life organizations during elections.
McQueeg’s surrogates have the same problem McQueeg has: they think conservatives are all morons.
I believe they checked it out and found, as others have done, that the Mass. Constitution gave him the right to decide what to do. If he had been against it, he could have fought the courts and likely won. He has a consistant record of not taking a stand against Liberals and their agenda.
Mitt Romney is wobbly on this leg, but at least is going in a solid direction and generally solid on the other two legs.

Mitt Romney: The Real Truth
This is David French's rebuttal to the 28-page document circulated by MassResistance called "The Mitt Romney Deception" which is a collection of old statements, half-truths, and completely false or misreported stories. If you have been spammed by an anti-Romney troll with "The Mitt Romney Deception", this should be your very next article to read.
Mitt Romney "Chose" Gay Marriage?
This is David French's scholarly rebuttal to the bizarre and silly assertion from MassResistance, et al, that Mitt Romney "instituted" same-sex marriage because, these critics contend, the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court (SJC) did not actually mandate same-sex marriage in the Goodridge v. Dept. of Public Health ruling. Read this article to dispel this ridiculous assertion resulting from an incorrect reading of the SJC's decision. David French, a leading constitutional attorney, clearly explains the correct reading of the decision; a reading that is the accepted interpretation of the Goodridge decision and a reading which has never been successfully challenged in any court action since the Goodridge case.
In fact, most of the anti-Romney critics in the same-sex marriage issue base their criticism and arguments on: 1) an illogical reading of the Goodridge decision, and/or 2) incomplete knowledge of the legal powers granted to the office of Governor in Massachusetts as compared to other states in the U.S. (see opinions of attorneys Jay Sekulow and David French)
Airing the Dirty Laundry
This is a superb article by David French answering those who claim Gov. Romney is not a "real" conservative, or who tell lies to paint Romney as a liberal, because he did not oppose same-sex marriage through unconstitutional (and failed) tactics. It puts a mirror up to the ugly faces of zealot trolls on conservative forums who hold themselves up as sole, legitimate judges of a candidate's conservative credentials and willfully deceive others with outrageous hyperbole presented as fact. David compares the actions of former Alabama Supreme Court justice Roy Moore when he refused to comply with a court ruling ordering the removal of a Ten Commandments monument from the Alabama state courthouse against the actions of Gov. Mitt Romney in the issue of same-sex marriage in Massachusetts and the eventual outcomes achieved by the two men. This is a MUST READ.

The ADF is a major force opposing liberal activist groups such as the ACLU. David is a Captain in the Judge Advocate Generals Corps of the United States Army Reserve. I think most wise conservatives will take the word of David French over Brain Camenker and his ilk (associate with this 527) any day of the week. More on Brain Camenker here: http://www.freerepublic.com/~unmarkedpackage/#MassResistance

Janet Folger’s Anti-Romney Front Group
Yesterday, a new 527 organization called RoeGone.org announced that it would be “the conservative answer to MoveOn.org” and that its first order of business would be to run anti-Romney ads leading into Super Tuesday:
A new 527 group called RoeGone.org — the conservative answer to MoveOn.org — has produced a 60-second web ad responding to Gov. Mitt Romney’s challenge to look to his record as governor as an indication of where he stands on the issues.
“Governor Mitt Romney challenged voters to look at his record. RoeGone.org has done just that,” said spokesperson Sharon Blakeney, a lawyer in Boerne, Texas.
Blakeney said the group is raising money to place the ad on television in Super Tuesday states later this week. The group also plans to produce ads addressing other politicians’ stand on similar issues, she said.
RoeGone.org is a pro-life organization committed to the appointment of judges who will support overturning Roe v. Wade.
Blakeney appears to be a standard right-wing activist, with ties to the Federalist Society, Texas Justice Foundation, the Alliance Defense Fund, and the Center for Reclaiming America ... which just so happens to be where Janet Folger, co-chair of Mike Huckabee’s Faith and Values Coalition, used to work.
Oddly enough, guess what Folger’s most recent WorldNetDaily column is about:
Finally, there is a conservative answer to MoveOn.org: RoeGone.org, as in Roe v. Wade GONE. Nice, huh? What’s even nicer is the ad they’re launching to expose Mitt Romney’s record. Be looking for secular conservative pundits and compromising pro-lifers to jump the Romney ship soon. No kidding. I predict this thing will signal the end of the Romney campaign.
Honestly I didn’t believe that even the Huckster would sink this low. Then again, desperate liars do desperate things. Soon Huck will be a distant nightmare. He’s going to lose - BIG TIME as he runs out of money.
His povery ridden base has no money. That’s why the HUMANIST is popular with his base because they want SOCIALISM. They don’t Biblical Christianity which clearly tells you to
WORK for your living
and NOT COVET what others have.
