So, is it best to cycle the carry ammo?
Inspect it frequently and rotate the first round, so you don't constantly bang the same cartridge against the ramp. All the cartridges should show the same amount of bullet exposed above the case mouth, discard any short rounds.
I also tend to leave my carry gun loaded all the time, but that's not an option for everybody.
