In Search of Moderate Muslims....

From what I've seen - and not heard - no such thing exists.

There are a handful of ‘moderate’ muslims, but there is absolutely no ‘moderate muslim movement’. None whatsoever. ZERO.

I won't even pretend that I read this.

Instead, I'll use it as a venue to offer my current opinion: "Moderate Muslim" is a ruse. Certainly lots of people who call themselves muslim are moderate enough; but that may have more to do with their priorities than than with the dogmas of thier religion.

I think terrorism is the logical consequence of Islam.

The more the Bush administration appeals to “Moderate Muslims”
the more it looks like a sign of weakness.

I hate these kind of articles as they seem to go on and on relentlessly.

All Muslims believe their religion superior to all others. For that matter, so do Christians. The difference is Mulsims believe it is acceptable to kill or enslave nonbelievers, or infidels.

>>
“...Islamic Scripture imply a relentless war...”
>>

Eventually there will be an all consuming war, particularly as Europe appears to be going under in a demographic wave of increasing Mulsim births and immigration.

The guy who runs this is Dr. Zuhdi Jasser, he was in Fox News’ documentary speaking out about the Islamists, and denouncing the flying Imams. He seems like the only moderate out there.

In Search of........ Moderate Muslims. Tonight with Leonard Nimoy...

Nimoy will find that most “moderate Muslims” are invertebrate spineless creatures. Their “fight or flight” reflex drives many of them to flee to western Nations, rather than grow a backbone. Once in a Western Country, they go into either “hide or RIOT” mode.

Does moderate mean they only want to kill you a little bit?

Hamzawy, like others, has in mind especially the Muslim Brotherhood, the granddaddy of all Islamist groups and the one that in Egypt’s 2005 parliamentary elections bested the ruling National Democratic party in most of the (carefully chosen) districts in which it entered candidates. The Brotherhood thereby demonstrated its potential to challenge the power of the incumbents. This result may have had something to do with the fact that, a year earlier, it had issued a “reform initiative” stressing “respect for partisan plurality, free elections, and the rotation of power” as well as (in the words of its spokesman) “complete equality in rights and duties” for Egypt’s Christian Copts and women. To underscore its new stance, in 2004 the Brotherhood even began to replace its traditional slogan, “Islam is the answer,” with a new one: “freedom is the answer.” (The change attracted more notice than the Brotherhood’s subsequent reversion to the original in time for the 2005 election.)

I don’t know if the author intended to suggest that the Muslim Brotherhood had suddenly reformed and taken up the mantle of Liberty in favor of equal justice for Christians and women but if he did he is out of his flipping mind.

If the Brotherhood should gain power in elections freedom and equality for Christians and women would be struck a huge blow and would not be heard of again for quite some time.

Many ‘moderate’ muslims are muslims who believe much of what the extreme ones do, but look at the current state of affairs wherever they are living and decide that the time is not yet right for an all-out jihad - not enough signs are there, and they don’t have enough strength so they must be patient).
