Ahhh, it should be 'nobody' at his house, not "no body" as he did go on to find the body = then the writer ends, after saying "The medico-legal experts, however, said he was murdered. " he writes that "Spokesman Sean McCormack ... said, “but we have no indication at this point that it involves foul play.”

Who is this spokesman - it's the only mention of him.

This piece is so poorly written, I can't begin to straighten it out

from that link - confirming what I thought, it’s not a family post (location). Also the age is different:

Keith Ryan, 47, was in-charge of security at the embassy. He was found dead at his residence in the upmarket F-7/3 area at about 11 am. There was a single bullet wound to his head. The US embassy confirmed that a diplomat had died, but gave no detail. The US does not let its diplomats in Pakistan take their families along due to the security threat.

Can’t tell what happened from the story. But if he was really shot in the back of the neck, it’ can’t be suicide. Also, it’s hard to imagine a man about to leave an Islamic hellhole to go back to his triplets taking his life.
