Yes, the “cap and trade” isn’t the problem with his bill, his entire bill is a job-killer and an economy-killer, all to solve a problem that doesn’t exist.

Cap-and-trade is a reasonable way to approach cleaning up the environment (always good to do whether there is warming or not), by providing mechanisms for businesses to work together in an otherwise competitive environment.

But given McCains inability to understand economics, it’s not surprising he can’t understand that “cap and trade” as a general concept has no relationship to his bill’s horrible consequences.

It would be like McCain proposing he’ll give a tax break to people who abort their babies, and then when Romney says that is horrible, coming back and saying “But Romney supported tax breaks before, so he’s flip-flopping”.
