Romney appears to be to the right of Bush. He is not in such a frenzy for amnesty. Of course, I never expect Bush to be such a big spender, sign CFR, have an obsession with illegal aliens, and call those of us who want to protect our borders racists. It would have been worse under Kerry. But I will never vote for McCain - I’ll vote 3rd party. He stepped way over the line and he is not mentally sound.

Romney was very clearly a social liberal while running for the U.S. Senate and while governing the state of Massachusetts: pro-homosexual, pro-abortion, pro-stem cell research. His personal life does reflect "family values", but so did those of the dons of the Italian-American Mafia in the middle of the last century. In addition, he passed mandatory health care in Massachusetts. Romneycare differs from Hillarycare only insofar as it avoids a single payer system. If we get President Romney, health care freedom will be as dead as if we get President Clinton II or President Obama.
