Logic won’t work on this guy. Trust me. I floated the same argument only to be verbally merry-go-rounded until I got a headache.
They were trending down and were the most vulnerable of those teams. If you didn't realize that, you weren't paying attention. If you think that's ridiculous, that's fine. But I have a couple of Boston-grown self-proclaimed "greatest Patriots* fans ever" right in my office who agree that if the Patriots* hadn't picked up those two key players they would never have enjoyed the success they have this season and they were at best, one and done in this year's play-offs. Like I said, I'll stand by my comments.
