(ABC 4 News) SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - LDS Church President Gordon B. Hinckley has died. He was 97 years old.
President Gordon B. Hinckley, world leader of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, was ordained and set apart as the 15th President of the Church on Sunday, March 12, 1995.

President Hinckley married Marjorie Pay in the Salt Lake Temple in 1937. They have five children. Sister Hinckley passed away 6 April 2004.
The exact cause of President Hinckley's death was not immediately released, but his health has been declining over the past two years due to a bout with cancer and complications of old age.
Stay tuned to ABC 4 News for more on this story.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess "old age" RIP Mr Hinckley
He was a good man and helped a lot of people so I hope the Mormon haters can hold their spew for at least a couple of days. He was also one of the few heads of a church who did not drive a Bentley.
That says a lot about a successful man of the cloth
May he rest in peace.
Well done, thou good and faithful servant. Rest in peace. You will be greatly missed.
He would have loved your term “TMBD”! Was visiting in Salt Lake and happened to go to a church meeting downtown. It turned out to be his ward. His and James E. Faust’s ward. I always got a kick of President Hinckley. Such a kind man with a wonderful sense of humor. I am happy for him because he is finally reunited with his beloved sweetheart. He and his wife were very close.
TMBD. Not a bad way to go
RIP Mr. Hinckley
Condolences to Gordon B. Hinckley’s family and friends.
The Lark Ascending is so appropriate.
Thanks.
It is a beautiful tune, and yes, very appropriate.
Yeah it will..
Give it a rest. Now is not the time for that crap.
