My deepest sympathies to our LDS Freepers. I was living in Utah during the time Pope John Paul II passed away, and I remember the LDS church authorities expressing their sorrow over his passing. Let us remember that President Bush awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Gordon Hinckley for his humanitarian efforts to the world. President Hinckley showed the goodness of America to the needy people of this planet.

President Hinckley showed the goodness of America to the needy people of this planet.

And those large-scale disaster relief efforts were incredible...

Thank you, hunter.

A great man; he’ll be missed. He did have a very endearing self-deprecating quality to him. He also lead the LDS Church through some of the most transformational times of its history.
