Spot on article!

I proudly voted for Fred in the Iowa caucuses and intend to write him in as my candidate in the general.

I’ll be voting in the Feb 5 primary and I’ll probably vote for Romney because I don’t want McCain as the nom. I like and dislike things about each of them, just as I feel about most politicians (and then there are those I don’t like at all). I was hoping Thompson or Hunter were an option but since they aren’t I have to choose between who’s left. I think Romney would have a better chance at winning against the dem nominee and wouldn’t completely suck as President.

I do think that we must do something about the Republican party but I don’t believe we can fix it before the election.

200 million? He couldn’t get better than 3rd place in a southern state! VERY disappointing! I suppose we can thank Huckabee supporters for that.

There is one good reason to write in Fred in a general election: it will enable you to make Ted Kennedy, Osama Obama (as Kennedy once called him), John Edwards, Soros, and all the other libs very happy. BAH!

I've heard this in every election since Reagan and all it's done is drive the party leftward as they try to match the Dems.

The line must be drawn here and no further.

Fred is my write-in, like it or not.

So, you'd rather have a baby killer, or a illegal hugger?

Doesn't matter, it'll happen no matter which candidate you choose.

Write in is the best way to send a message in a losing election.

Please, don't vote for "leftovers"!

If it were Paul vs. Clinton, whom would you vote for?

Id vote for the Republican Candidate. Any other voting option would be same as a vote for Hillary, and you could not torture me into doing that. I do not agree with Ron Paul's libertarian views, nor his foreign policy views. I disagree with allot of Pauls ideas, I disagree with ALL of Hillary's.

I think one of the most influential things a President can do is nominate the Supreme Court Judges. The left wants to rule by the courts to bypass the people. If you ask who would pick better Supreme Court Judges, Hillary or Paul ... I think Paul would do a better job there by a long shot.

I am not a libertarian, but a libertarian would pick better judges than a Marxist Socialist.

“Fred is my write-in, like it or not.”

The vote in a presidential general election is for a slate of electors. If Fred doesn’t have a slate of electors in your state, you can’t really vote for him in any meaningful sense of the word “vote”. You’ll get more attention if you just picket the polling place.

Excellent — thanks! I’ve never written anyone in before; should be interesting.

Not gonna do it.

The RNC is too pompous/stupid/arrogant/retarded/out-of-touch/corrupt to recognize a protest vote anyway.

Fair enough.

I will no longer engage in political relativism. Just as with moral relativism, it doesn’t work in the long-term. I believe there must be some absolute, unchanging standards that we adhere to. Telling the GOP that it gets my vote no matter what product it serves me is IMO no way to encourage it to turn out a better product.

A thing moderately good is not so good as it ought to be. Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice.

And it’s a good idea for the amnesty-pushing, Harriet-Miers-pushing, big-government-spending, gun-grabbing, Constitution-shredding GOP establishment if we continue to give them a blank check and let them know that we’ll stay on the GOP plantation no matter what. And hey, that will be good for the ‘toons as well.

Enough is enough.

Well said.

I don’t care.

I’m voting for FRed.

I have held my nose in every election since I voted for Reagan
at age 18.

I’m NOT doing it ANY MORE.

Fred was a good guy, but he is no hero. If he was, he would have stuck it out.

I moved to Fred and he quit a short time later.

My primary is in May, so it won’t make much difference anyway.

Paul, with a big dose of whiskey for moderating the pain.

I agree. I feel that way about all those we have left and the same about the dems.

As for the Surpreme Court picks, I’d take my chances with Romney moreso than McCain. Same goes for foreign policy even though McCain claims to be pro defense/pro military.
