I’m suddenly becoming a very strong supporter of Mitt. He’s doing and saying all the right things, IMHO.

I lived in Mass. when he ran against Fat Boy Kennedy, and had a lot of respect for him back then, even though it seemed like a doomed mission. It took a lot of chutzpah and a lot of conviction to stand up to the sleazy and underhanded lies of the Kennedys.

Even the junk that’s spewed here on FR ends up being an endorsement for him.

Me too. Go Mitt.

I also heard that Kristol on Fox said Thompson was endorsing Romney...and CNN had a crawl saying the same thing.

That is Romney’s political M.O. He always says what he thinks people want to hear. That is why he has so many opposing positions on the same things.

I agree. It was the first time in years that Kennedy had to work to get reelected (I was going to say that he worked up a sweat but thought that image was too revolting). These days, Kennedy won't even deign to debate those running against him. I have never voted for that bloated barnacle and am amazed that anyone would. Yet, there he is, 150 years old and still in office.

I would like to see Mitt elected president, not only because he's the best of the candidates we have running, but because it would irritate the hell out Teddy knowing his former opponent got the job he wanted but could never have after Chappaquiddick.
