very telling. this seems to be the case with sharia finance, which enjoyed a bit a rage (sorry for the allusion) some time ago. I think it got shelved during the 200 billion writedown process.

But, back on point, any religion that has as a doctrine the practice of deceit is, I would guess, pretty much devoid of anything but the need for power.

Ah yes, Sharia finance. Where Muslims all agree that paying for the use of money isn’t really paying for the use of money IF you call the extra payments a fee, instead of interest.

Allah must be a real dimwit in their view.

And bear in mind that this particular deceit is a calculated deceit of Sharia, the Koran, the Hadiths, Mohammad, and Allah.

What other “religion” has institutionalized loopholes that are designed to encourage and enable flouting of its precepts?
