With few exceptions I have found Mormons to be decent, honest Christians. As a Catholic I could easily lump many so-called Protestant denominations into that un-Christian category so many "orthodox" Christians assign to Mormons and for the same reasons. I refuse to do so. Whether Mormons, Lutherans, Methodists, Baptists, or Episcopalians are actually Christian will only be determined by God. We are not here to judge, but to be judged. In the end, God will look into our hearts and actions, not into which pew we sat in or which hymns we sang.
Many would extend that argument to include Muslims as well since they also "believe" in Christ.
Mormons deny the Deity of Christ and the Trinity in general. In fact, they go so far as to believe that Jesus was a brother of the Devil.
If you want to believe that's Orthodox christianity, that's up to you. But I would bet your Catholic authorities would not agree with your opinion.
The Word of God does the judging. Mormons fail the Biblical test as do Romanists.
That's such a crock.
We make judgments everyday.....
That particular scripture that you are apparently referring to...gets messed up and misquoted all the time.
Used much by the left and the uninformed to turn a blind eye to inappropriate behavior, and life-styles.
The actual scripture was speaking to those that might be involved in the same exact thing they are judging someone else for.
It's perfectly fine to judge others..and to attempt to counsel them, help them. But NOT if you are doing the SAME THING THEY ARE.
