Do you think the Mormon thing is still a big factor? I’d almost forgotten about it ... not important to me anyway ... but I’m sure it will come out again big time if Mitt runs against Hillary.

Don’t know about Obama ... he’s got a little church dirt in his own background.

Obama’s background is better than anyone, if all that ever comes out...he won’t be able to run for garbage collector.
I’ll give you a link in a moment.

I don't think the Mormon factor would matter to anyone except the same types who think Obama being black (or "a muslim") or Hillary being a woman is the most important thing.  Without someone they could identify as a strong Christian the evangelicals are either going to hold their nose and vote for Mitt or else stay home.  I can't believe they'd vote for Hillary or Obama.

Their staying home could have an influence, however. I oppose Obama and Hillary because of the policies they would impose and, in Hillary's case, because she's just an evil nasty person.  I think that a significant majority in the evangelical movement would too.

If it's Mitt vs. Hillary watch Mitt's faith to be played up, big time. If it's Mitt vs. Obama I wouldn't expect it to be mentioned, except possibly references to the Mormon church's past official positions on race, and I think Romney has an effective response to that.
