A “genuine” war hero, they always say. They must feel there are a lot of fake war heroes out there. The “genuine” label is always reserved for Kerry and McCain. Ironically, of all the hundreds of thousands of men who served in that war, they reserve the label “genuine hero” for the two officers who were propagandists for the enemy.

Oh Good Lord I don't if I should laugh or cry. McCain truly does live in his own bubble, here he is touting the fact that the new york times thinks he's the least republican of republicans.

Look everyone they think I suck the least!

McCain truly does live in his own little bubble.....lets just hope it burst.

I’m not a supporter of either but I have an idea as to why the NYSlimes endorsed McLame while they simultaneously ripped Guliani. Both of these two appeal to the same voters, mainly RINO’s. By destroying Guliani they’re trying to bolster McLame. If Guliani does not do very well in Florida his campaign could very well be toast. The Slimes senses this, hence the timing of the McLame endorsement.

I read the NYT's editorial and was genuinely shocked. I though maybe the posted link on FR was a farce, satire, a joke

It literally reads like a post from the KOS or DU.

I haven't read the NY Times in many years because it's basically the Manhattan Pravda edition, now I remember why.

Well, if the Slimes can’t correctly tag a liberal, nobody can.

McCain would proudly post an endorsement from bin-Laden if/when he got it

Used to be I was OK with McCain. Then I moved to wanting anybody but McCain as the GOP nominee, but I’d still vote for him in the generals. Next, I decided that if McCain was the nominee, I’d stay home.

Now I’d vote for Obama over McCain. At least Obama is openly a Democra#. (Wouldn’t vote for Hillary over the devil himself, so I’ll just stay home - for the first time ever - if McCain and Hillary are my choices.)

Y'know, displaying this endorsement like a trophy is the same as poking a stick into the eye of the people you expect to vote for you.

Politically, McCain would've been wise to publicly reject the NYT's endorsement.

Instead, he proves just how much his ego drives him. And how remote he is from the Republican base.
