Lyndon loved Lady Bird, too, and she loved him. I would think the more apt phrase should have been "turds on the wedding cake" -- but if she didn't have enough respect for her own marriage to expect fidelity from her coarse, priapastic horndog of a "husband" then she is free to regard his behavior as mere "flies".....
