I have a few hours in that model and it’s really not a good airplane for someone who is not very familiar with it and who has quite a few hours. The ether is very unforgiving.
My ex also said that to fly a Saratoga, you have to be intimately familiar with the plane, and an expert flyer, whihc Jr. wasn’t. I don’t think he was instrument trained, either.
