I got in line early, and had about 7 people in front of me.
He asked every one of the people in front of me, where they were from and then told them how their county voted.
When I got to him and he asked me, I was a bit embarrassed but told him Atlantic County, NJ.
He looked up at me and told me, "You folks have a lot of work to do."
The GOP in Atlantic County was stll getting much of the black vote as late as the 1970’s. It might be easier to turn them around than the 3 generation black Dem voters elsewhere in the north.
