Other than for the afore mentioned plants here, this is the thing I least understand about some here. With all the flak the right takes about religion from the left, one would think we would be a little more tolerant & understanding.

At this point, Romney takes more hits on religion from those on the right than from the left. I guess some never do learn from their own trials & tribulations. It’s not o.k. for them to get bashed from the left, but it’s o.k. to bash Romney. Eating our own indeed. I guess there are senseless folks on both sides. A shame.

Again, spot on. I usually just lurk, don’t post much at all, and ignore the trolls.

Other than for the afore mentioned plants here, this is the thing I least understand about some here. With all the flak the right takes about religion from the left, one would think we would be a little more tolerant & understanding.

The left openly opposes us as Christians. Mormons take more of a flanking strategy like the sci-fi movie, Invasion of the Body Snatchers. On the one hand, they pretend to be one of us, ("We're Christians, too. See, we look almost just like you"--all the while camouflaging that if they really believed that, they wouldn't be sending out a million missionaries with about half of them attempting to convert Christians already living at those residences--would they?). Meanwhile, they keep figuratively digging in our graveyards & graveyard records for a never-ending appetite for names..."more names"..."we must have more names for our temple rituals"..."we must baptize more dead folks"..."more"..."more"..."we are obsessed with your dead"...Then, just like the movie, they pinpoint who is NOT one of them..."that person is an apostate!" says the accuser, pretending to be "Christian"...just like the original prophet-pod person said, "I was told by the personage I should join NONE of those Christian families, for I was told that all their creeds were an abomination in His sight, and their professors were all corrupt...for they all apostacized as his representatives of the earth."

So, Mormons smile to your face. They're nice neighbors. They'll tell you, "Oh, you'll be saved even if you stay in your Christian church. We don't put down your faith." Then they tithe on a printed message that says the non-Mormon church is the "church of the devil" (1 Nephi 14:9-10)& send their sons & daughters to try to convert your adult children & Boy Scout grandchildren...all the while spreading the message from door-to-door by missionary & by millions of the printed word that your faith is a complete apostasy...they smile to your face as they assassinate the spiritual reputation of every Protestant, Catholic, & Orthodox individual & church...and then they have the nerve to call that a "revelation" from God & canonize it as LDS "Scripture"...and they wonder why, "Gee, what did we do to make folks a little less tolerant & understanding of us?" [Don't believe me? Read it for yourself...Google "pearl of great price, Joseph Smith - History, verses 18-20, especially v. 19]

I think I would rather deal with the frontal assaults of the Left than the more subtle counterfeiting, side-stabbing, & spiritual reputation assassination engaged in by Mormons. Christians can and should be critiqued on an individual & church by church & denomination by denomination basis--critiqued from both the inside & out. What I object to is Smith's 1830s scorched-earth policy where he planted a spiritual nuke targeting every single Christian professing believer, every single Christian creed, and every single Christian church with no distinctions whatsoever...

Then, having established the new "graveyard" of Christianity, what does Smith do? Why he decides to erect the "restored" church all upon the alleged graveyard of Christianity. No Christian graveyard, no LDS church. No complete universal apostasy, no restoration. No restoration, no need for Joseph Smith.
