I know a 30 year marriage that ended because the wife went through treatment for cancer, and her husband, well...refused to turn the theromstat down when she was burning up. That sets off all sorts of alarm bells with me. A "man" who won't sacrifice a bit of comfort for his seriously ill wife ...
I don't know about you, but I "have problems" with that.
And I'm speaking from personal, first hand experience.

I just love reading threads like this when I’m helping my girlfriend get addresses together for our wedding invitations.

I might feel sorry for the husband if he wasn’t such a sucker. He is such wimpy weakling that his whore of a wife has no respect for him. I doubt she would treat him like this if he grew a spine and had some self respect. His wife sounds like a woman who needs a man that slaps her around and abuses her. I’ve known women who walk all over the men who treat them nice and worship the creeps who cheat on them and treat them terribly. He should divorce her and find a woman who isn’t a selfish pig who only cares about her own needs.

good sex creates anticipation for more good sex,
bad sex makes you just quit thinking about it.
After enough bad sex, it's time to start being creative...

i am a woman and i agree with you. someone has to make the first move to improve things, why not the woman? you get out of a marriage, including the sexual aspect, what you put into it. if you act like it’s a chore to be gotten through like everything else, that’s precisely what it will be. if you treat your husband like your lover, well, hey, the odds are pretty good that that’s precisely what he will be.

Doesn’t it make you feel and warm and cuddly inside? ;-)

No flaming here. I'm not a feminist, in the present meaning of the word, but neither am I the "little woman". Sometimes though, we women cut off our noses to spite our faces. When it will result in something good for me and for both of us, why would I not put my pride in my pocket for a minute and cater to my husband sometimes? It unfortunately took me years to figure this out, but once I did, the returns were astronomical. My husband wasn't asking much, and for the little he did ask, it wound up being as much to my benefit as his.

>> So what of her sexual history? It seems that Carrie wasn’t always this uninterested in sex. She admits to having 23 lovers before she married.
That’s a lot of traffic — sloppy 24ths.
>> “Ten were proper boyfriends,” she recalls. “I regretted having sex with six of them, loved three of them
That’s 13 men that weren’t even boyfriends, and TWENTY men she admits to not loving.
>> but only one of the 23 ever gave me an orgasm.
She’s the common thread in this fiasco ... my bet is she’s the problem.
>> This “woman” has a real problem.
Sounds like a hooker that neglected to bill.

I agree to a degree.
I also know that even in this day and age, with our super saturated sexual society, there are women who don’t have clue about what is sexy to a man AND men who don’t have a clue about what works for a woman sexually.
There’s a lot of misinformation being fed both genders.

"But this hank is an insult to self respecting, red blooded British women with happy husbands." Never been the happy husband of a self respecting red blooded British woman, but I was a very happy boyfriend of one...until she left anyway.
Cheers to self respecting, red blooded British women!

I just made sure to marry a woman who read and agreed with “Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands”. I’m doing pretty well.

Glad to see some freepers are gettin lucky. Widowed at 59, remarried to a widowed lady last August at 60. Like the saying goes, "I ain't as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was".

I appreciate your kind words.
But like her previous experiences, the longer the relationship lasted, the more disappointing it became
This speaks about some sort of underlying issue - perhaps anxiety disorder, fear of abandonment, etc. When you get down to it, some people are just more capable than others.

Well, in a case like that, I suppose staying together will just breed unbearable bitterness. But I really hope that people make sure that it’s really that they just can’t viscerally stand each other, before throwing it all away.

Sounds like my ex-wife.
Meanwhile, when she dumped me, I remarried and the honeymoon is going on ten years now.
Only boring people get bored. She is solely responsible for her attitude.
It is obviously not Christian as well. Her body is not hers, but her husbands, and vice-versa. She should WORK AT running with that.
