Huckabee: Saddam's WMD Probably Went to Jordan
youtube ^ | January 24,2008 | Veracifier

After stating in last nights republican debate that "Just because you didn’t find every Easter egg didn’t mean that it wasn’t planted”, Mike Huckabee went on to claim that Saddams WMD may have gone to Jordan.

This youtube video is of Huckabee on Chris Mathews sticking with the Jordan claim.

He probably is just taking a wild ass guess on where the WMDs are.

Which means he hasn't been paying attention.

Yes, it was a very interesting comment that Huckabee did and I am very glad that he did not buy in the lie that Saddam did not have WMD or a WMD program.

When asked earlier about Saddam’s WMD, Huckabee said he thought he went to Arkansas St.

Hmm. You’d think an ordained minister would know middle east world geography fairly well. Just sayin’.

I’ll give him that...he didn’t “deny” they were there.

Kind of a Gerry Ford moment.

Doesnt cut it. Zarqawi’s chemical bomb and saddam’s WMD are two different things!

Chemical bombs are no longer WMDs? I must have missed that memo [/s]

The Huckster often looks like a dumbass. He completes the picture by opening his mouth and confirming it from time to time.

Last night was one of those times.

With every utterance on his part, I am more convinced that The Huckster is the truly the biggest fool in the race on either side...

Re the Jordanian bomb plot:

Officials: Chemical Attacks Thwarted in Jordan

But note:

Jordanian officials say the arrests occurred after suspected militants entered Jordan from neighboring Syria in at least three vehicles filled with explosives, detonators and raw material to be used in bomb-making.
Syrian officials have denied the claims.

Huckabee needs to be asked about this at every opportunity, to allow him to further elaborate on his theories that the WMD went to Jordan, giving him a choice of digging a deeper hole, or owning up to mistaking Syria for Jordan.

After all, Huckabee brags all the time about how many times he has visited Israel. Maybe he knows something we don't.

“The direct descendant of Mohammed is not an ally.”

Correct me if I’m wrong, but are you implying that King Abdullah (sp?) of Jordan is not our ally because he is a direct descendant of Muhammad? That wouldn’t be very good logic, because each and every person of European descent that is alive today has close to a 100% probability of also being a descendant of Muhammad: a daughter of the Emir of Seville, who descended from Muhammed, converted to Christianity around the year 1200 and married a Christian, and basically all persons of European descent can claim as an ancestor every European from 800 years before who left progeny. See http://www.theatlantic.com/issues/2002/05/olson.htm): basically, all persons of European descent have not only Charlemagne, but also Muhammed as an ancestor.

Sophistry. I never said the chemical bomb, even though it was less lethal than large car bombs, was not a WMD. I said it had nothing to do with Saddams supposed stockpile. Zarqawi’s bomb did *NOT* come from Saddam’s WMD stockpile. Period. To infer that it did is nonfactual.

I'm saying that the one who can lay claim to the Hashemite throne is a wolf in sheep's clothing. Anyone on this tree is not to be trusted.

I hate these good-ol- boy quips. They drive me insane, but the those he has managed to brainwash just love them. I don’t know if I can take any more of these!

It is possible they were taken through that little tip of Jordan on the one to Syria? Although, I doubt that is what he meant.

Any club will do to bash Huckerbee, right? He's actually trying to bolster our current president's failure to find anything in Iraq but we still trash him.

I didn't bash him for trying to support the president, I bashed him for keeping up with the Jordan comment. You make several examples of misspeak or jokes. A single misspeak or joke like Reagans "5 mins to bombing" has nothing to do with my point of his REPEATING the remark.

He kept up with the Jordan comments AFTER the debate on the interview linked at the top. This was not "inventing new words" or "mangling old ones" or simply misspeaking. This was a man who seemed pretty clueless on the issue.

For those making a stretch and saying maybe he meant the Jordan bombing thing....keep in mind that even the article linked in #35 clearly states that material came from SYRIA.

Had he said Syria instead of Jordan, or corrected himself in the later interview, or had his spokesperson say he was mistaken (which he didn't that night-he defended the Jordan comment) I would not have made this post.
