For nearly two decades, Yvette Wider, an African American, adored Bill Clinton, once described by a famous black novelist as the nation's first black president.
But now, after Clinton's "fairy tale" remark about Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) in New Hampshire and a statement in South Carolina that Obama had put a political "hit job" on him, Wider said she feels she hardly knows the former president. "I was surprised to hear him make a comment like that, because I thought he understood our people better," said Wider, who said she will vote for Obama in Saturday's South Carolina primary. "It made me think he's been playing us all this time."
Wider's sentiments are echoing across black America -- on blogs, Web chats and talk radio, where Clinton is being attacked as never before.

Now if only they wake up to the dumbocrats too.
Yea, the scales have fallen from her eyes! Welcome to the club, honey.
Truthfully, he's been playing everybody all the time!
She will never pick Obama as her running mate. She may not be the smartest woman in the world, but she’s not stupid.
But why? The point is, their belief in the goodness of the Democratic Party has been shaken. Sure, they'll vote for Hillary, but out of conditioning; not belief (just, I submit, as millions of Republican conservatives would vote for McCain should he get the nomination). Make no mistake, the coalition that makes up the Democrat Party is being shaken by this campaign season.
Just the presence of the first Black candidate for President at the same time as the first female candidate has in itself caused groups within the party to take their first real look at themselves, what they believe, and what they expect from 'their' party. They've never had to question this before. Now it's in their face.
YOur point is well made — but it doesn’t matter in the slightest to today’s dominant black culture. They have decided to position themselves as victims and bleed our society dry. Not all blacks — but the dominant black culture.
Once you have decided to do that, you have to take offense at any and every supposed slight in order to keep the gravy train rolling. So, Bill says “fairy tale,” and somehow that is a horrifying offense to black people.
Well, they can tell it to Tinker Bell for all I care. As to the denizens of today’s dominant black culture, if God was going to make their skin black, I sure wish he would have made it a whole lot thicker.
Yeah, they do. Like McCain, Bill Clinton does not know the meaning of “loyalty.”
Cha ching!! Now apply that thinking to jessie jackson and his ilk!
May change a little after this.
Take it and like it.
Reminds me of Kevin Bacon in the frat hazing scene in “Animal House”: “Thank you, sir, may I have another?”
It made me think he's been playing us all this time."
Do you think!!
Nothing lasts forever. Especially politicial party affilation. There was a time when blacks voted Republican.
"I was surprised to hear him make a comment like that, because I thought he understood our people better," said Wider, who said she will vote for Obama in Saturday's South Carolina primary. "It made me think he's been playing us all this time."
She doesn't say if was going to vote for Obama all along, or whether she changed to Obama based on the things Bill Clinton said. If she was planning to vote Obama all along, then it's arguable she's the one who's been playing Clinton (and the reporter) all this time, not the other way around. Her own words may actually validate things Bill Clinton has been saying about Hillary's prospects in SC.
He was. Good for you for finally figuring it out. Better late than never.
This should be a wake up call for African American’s. I hope so, it’s time for them to come home.
We need them in this country and we need them to know that this is just as much their country as it is ours now.
Ya think?

So, right off the bat we know she’s not real bright.
One word to all the Democrat “persons of color” who feel they have been “played” DUH!!!!

Finally, these old lyrics may catch on again.
