Romney WILL get the NRA endorsement. His comment on MTP was about his support for the 1994 AWB. It was an historical fact, and he readily admitted it. He does NOT support a ban now. the NRA was pleased with how Romney supported gun owners while in Mass. ROmney helped push through a gun bill the gun groups called the best bill for gun owners in the state’s history.
In fact, I’m betting he even gets the endorsement of the more conservative gun groups.
