Mitt Romney was quoting directly from the Constitution. Hard to get more conservative than that. Good for him.

He had an excellent rebuttal as well; but then again a Constitutionally based argument is usually a good one.

I was unprepared to embrace any candidate tonight, but I thought Mitt Romney did the best. If he had a good conservative VP pick I might actually support him and not just vote for him while holding my nose.

I think if people get past style to substance and analyze the candidate on ability, experience and the issues, they will see that Romney is our best choice for President.

He has it on style too, but some can’t get past that. Same thing happened when Reagan came on the scene.

I don't see how any conservative could not like what Romney says. I've always thought he could talk the talk, it's his sincerity that's bothered me. Tonight I saw a bit of passion and a great job of totally frustrating Russert by parrying his mad dog questions with ease. Mitt raised quite a few notches in my book.
