It will be interesting to see what happens in the court case. Judges in Washington State (even federal ones) are famous for being ultra-liberals.

While I feel that they should toss her in jail and toss the key away, I fully anticipate that one of the liberal judges around here will say that now she is a mom, and teaches children music, so she is no longer a threat to the community. It was just a youthful indiscretion (NOT!)

I hear you, you make a good point. I believe a lot depends on the testimony of these two witnesses.

During the hearing, Kolar received a suggested sentence of 5–7 years in federal prison despite facing a mandatory life sentence, Phillabaum, 3–5 years. Both Kolar and Phillabaum were released without bail following their pleas. On January 28 (29?), 2007, Phillabaum reported to a federal facility to begin voluntarily serving her sentence, but formal sentencing for both is unlikely to occur until after Briana Waters' trial. Both Phillabaum and Kolar are expected to testify against Waters and have been provided significant reductions in their recommended sentences as a result of extensive cooperation with the federal government.
