So we have movements for better insulation, energy-star appliances, light bulbs that take a quarter of the electricity, LCD TV’s and monitors instead of CRT’s, higher gas mileage vehicles, natural gas power plants, large investments in solar energy, wind farms, ethanol-spiked gasoline, smokestack scrubbers, electronics without lead, huge recycling programs, biodegradable plastics, corn-starch packing material, and it’s still not enough while China gets a pass?

This isn’t about the environment, this is about making the U.S. uncompetitive on the global market.

“This isn’t about the environment”

It’s about creating a 1/2 trillion dollar global carbon credit scheme.

They never say it outright, because they know candor would be their downfall. Therefore they speak in codes like “Kyoto treaty obligations” or “global cooperation.” Invoke “the world” and the idea that America is “against” “the world” and white liberals and lefties get all glassy eyed and suggestive.
