Thanks for the ping. I heard Grantheft on Warren Pierce (WJR radio) in the morning this weekend and he tried to question her about Kwame, but she dodged and said it was important to keep the good momentum going in Detroit and we should be moving quickly. There was a tone of urgency in her lawyerspeak.

This is the worst governor in our history. (I used to think Blanchard was bad) She was also a lousy attorney general.

Oh, and we have a better attorney general now?

You like Mike Cox? Want him to be our next governor? You remember Mike Cox when he paraded his wife in front of the news cameras and confessed to his adultery. Remember how that brave Marine cried liked a little girl?

And let’s not forget how he dismissed the rumors of the Manoogian Mansion party and the dead stripper as “urban legend.”

The Republicans in this state aren’t any better.

You know Mad-Margaret, I hesitated over using the word “lousy” because I wanted to use the word “worst” in front of attorney general, but I was thinking of Mike Cox. You are absolutely correct (and I do remember)in your statements about Cox. His “urban legend” comment solidifies his lead in my mind as THE WORST ATTORNEY GENERAL in the history of the state.

His “urban legend” dismiss-out-of-hand comment trying to make a mockery of anyone questioning him about Kwame was OUTRAGEOUS. Was it stupidity, complicity, arrogance-of-the-powerful, or just subtle racism? Every time he opens his mouth his words or choked-back-tear-speech say something about him. Jenny Grantheft slick breathy-lawyer-speak says a lot about her as the WORST GOVERNOR in the state’s history.

Kwame looms large over both of these DANGEROUSLY INCOMPETENT elected representatives of the honest, just-trying-to-make-a-living-and-play-by-the-rules-citizens of the great state of Michigan.

These clowns appear to be puppets of criminals and special interest collectives running the state.

“The Republicans in this state aren’t any better.”

You got that right. They’re a gang of mindless toadies interested only in enriching themselves. What they’ve allowed that communist governor to get away with is mind-boggling.

Republicans shouldn’t waste any time campaigning in this rathole. The state republicans will stab you in the back if they can make a buck or get their chicken feathers soothed by the left wing press.

The only good political group left in Michigan is the state supreme court, which I believe is one of the best in the country.

Did you read this very good article? In it, Debbie gives some background information on Mike Cox. I posted it on the state message board a couple of days ago.

(As a side note...

Whenever I see Margaret (in connection with Michigan) I think of Margaret O’Connor, former state representative, who would come on the Mark Scott radio show and talk about the wasteful spending in Michigan government. I always admired her.)

Glad we’re all in agreement. :)

Yep! I read it. I’m not always a Debbie Schlussel fan, but one of my friends alerted me to the article last week. This time Debbie called it right on the money!

Mark Scott! RIP!

You must not frequent UMGASS. Mad Margaret is a Gilbert and Sullivan character. I just happened to be listening to Ruddigore when I registered for Free Republic many years ago.

Maybe we can get Scott Romney to run for AG again. Maybe Monaghan will keep his nose out of the process this time. You know he would have defeated Granholm in the general election and spared us of much grief. The Republicans in this state leave so much to be desired.
