Romney, like Reagan and Zell Miller before him, changed his mind on abortion and should be applauded, not criticized, for doing so. Romney, like Reagan and Zell Miller, has amply explained his reasons for his change of heart. I applaud him.

Reagan and Miller changed their positions thru political epiphany; Romney changed his position thru political expediency. Nice try though.

A lot of people changed their minds back when Roe v. Wade was imposed on our country. Before that, they really hadn’t thought about abortion.

The Catholic bishops for the most part were slow to respond. The first pro-lifers were Catholic lay people.

Evangelicals also took a number of years to think about it, before they came out on the pro-life side.

So Reagan’s development makes sense. Romney’s doesn’t. He was claiming to be pro abortion when everyone in the country KNEW what abortion was all about. And he did so AGAINST the teachings of the LDS. And some of his pro-gay activities and statements are quite recent.

I believe in conversions stories, but this one is pretty hard to believe in, unfortunately. I wouldn’t really care, except that I’m afraid that if push comes to shove he wouldn’t hestitate to convert again.

Fred was repeatedly attacked for his support of CFR, for which he had a sincere desire to reform CF to get Geo. Soro's type big money influence out of politics. A laudable goal. Others like McCain and Finegold perverted Thompson's support and we've ended up with CFR we got now. Fred said he made a mistake on supporting it.

He was not given a pass. Otherwise Fred had a pretty solid conservative record, and I forgave him his CFR transgression for which he had the right intentions, but the end product, was not of his making.

Now we've got a Romney (A RINO) who has flip-flopped on just about every major conservative issue, and he's supposed to get a pass??

Are you kidding me?!
