Given a choice between McCain or Hillary in the White House I would far prefer McCain even though some of his positions are contrary to mine particularly his campaign finance reform and immigration bills. President Hillary would be a disaster for the US both economically and in security. Hillary’s rush to socialism will cause the US economy to fall on its face and her stance on global terrorism would mean IEDs would be exploding in US rather than Iraqi cities. Perhaps the only good thing to come out of Hillary’s presidency would be that it would pretty well assure the Democrats would be out of power for at least 20 years starting with the 2010 elections.
I couldn't agree more.
What do you mean by an "R" and "C"?
My main concern about John McCain, besides the fact that he has shown great antipathy toward conservative beliefs, is that he would be terrible on the War on Terror. McCain might have had good suggestions for the Iraq and Afghanistan battles, but they are only individual fronts on the WOT. McCain has not shown a willingness to protect us from the Islamic extremists on any other front.
I think he was typing in his mantra in a desperate attempt to stay within the Republican fold. Kind of what someone might do when in a fetal position, rocking back and forth.
...notwithstanding, Katie Couric's dream candidate...
Could be, I don’t know much about that aspect other than that his border stance is not conducive to fighting the wot.
...”he will destroy himself along with any Rs or Cs” =
McCain will take out not only himself but the Republican/Conservatives also....a 1 man wrecking machine.
yea I think you’re right! good analogy

The day after his nomination, theyll turn on him with glee. He has so much baggage, it will be a contest to see how fast they can make him melt down spectacularly.
. . . or else they will hold their fire for an October "Surprise." But "surprise" belongs in quotes because we already know what's coming. Not only Keating 5, but also a huge attack "from the right" to suppress the base. They will do the same thing on the latter front with Romney, but at least he probably has no significant scandal skeletons in his closet.
Not warming to McCrazy.
BEST QUOTE ON MCCAIN: -
“McCain seems to believe his wartime heroism entitles him to an unlimited moral bank account that he can withdraw from whenever it’s in his self-interest to do something dishonest.”
