OK everyone I have an observation
About the same time this what ever it was appeared we have been having a lot of terrestrial interference on our C-band satellite not just at my site but other sites as well in a line from Wichita Falls down to Del Rio (I work for the CATV CO) the interference starts at 1.9 GHZ there is a carrier in the band that is 15Db higher than the satellite signals.

I don't believe in coincidences but something is up and is affecting that band in multiple locations.

Maybe sun-related? Are you familiar with the current angst over the waiting for the next sunspot cycle to begin? It's way overdue, and there's mucho speculation that we may be heading into a new "Maunder Minimum."
