That is weird given Hunter’s very different stance on illegals and makes one wonder what the heck is going on and what he was thinking.

The folks talking about the appointment of judges gave me some food for thought.

As others have pointed out, you can cherrypick the “conservative” parts of each candidate left and have a decent candidate. But each on his own? Hard to compute.

However there are really 3 big issues to me.

1) If the “big thing” goes down with Iran which one wouldn’t freak out? I would rank Rudy #1 there. McCain IMO would probably be better than Romney and Huckabee in that case if he isn’t too senile. But I could be convinced otherwise.

2)Illegal Immigration. I don’t trust anything any of them left have to say on this. I have a feeling what would actually happen is NOTHING..with any of them. If you put a gun to my head, I would suspect Romney MIGHT be best simply on economic reasons.

3)Judges. Which one of them is likely to appoint the most conservative judges? By default it is probably Huckabee, because of the Pro Life stance. Rudy and Romney probably aren’t going to insist on a certain level of “conservativeness” and McCain is an enigma on many different issues. The issues Huckabee is wobbly on don’t really play into a judge choice (for the most part).

So even looking at my 3 top concerns, I am still left with nothing to separate.

But one thing remains, I will vote for ANY of them over HRC.

I saw just recently where apparently Huckabee has promised to build the border fence. Looks like he directly promised that to Duncan’s face. So ironic, given where Huckabee was on all of this until recently.

Both men are Baptists. That counts for quite a bit, I’m coming to believe.

It would be interesting to know what Huckabee said to Duncan to win him over on national security. It could be that he asked Duncan to advise him on national security matters and made a great show of listening to Duncan.

The pro-life issue. Enough said.

I never saw this coming because I don’t trust Huckabee or one word that comes out of his glib mouth.

It doesn’t make me think badly of Duncan Hunter so much as I’m thinking, Duncan, you got played by a master people-player.

Sad.
