From the transcript of John Edwards' appearance tonight on the LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN ...
Dave: Yeah, yeah, well, good luck to you. What a grueling grind this is. And this is the second time now that youve been through this, first as vice president, now as a presidential nominee, or candidate, campaigning. Could I just mess your hair up a little bit? (audience laughs)
Edwards: You want to? Go ahead.
Dave: Do you mind?
Edwards: I dont mind.
Dave: Has it ever been messed up? (Edwards laughs; Edwards runs his hands through his own hair) No, no. (Dave runs his hands through Edwards hair, really messing it up, and Edwards, laughing, tries to mess up Daves hair; audience applauds) Senator John Edwards, ladies and gentlemen. Good luck the rest of the way, thank you for being here.
(Dave and Edwards shake hands. Then, Dave tries to fix Edwards hair; audience applauds)
(snip)
Dave: Well, you what Ive noticed about Bill OReilly, and hes a marvelous communicator, but he doesnt really care much about telling the truth. (audience laughs)
Edwards: Yeah, Ive noticed the same thing.
Dave: Very entertaining, and I like when hes on the show, but if you say one thing
Edwards: But most of what he says is crap.

I gotta admit this made me laugh.
While I can’t condone even touching Edwards, I have nothing against “dissing” the blowhard O’Reilly.
Dave Letterman is pretty funny but I watch Leno mostly (when I watch them at all...max 5 times a month). He is not nearly as sarcastic. As far as Bill O’Reilly goes, his show has just gotten boring to me. I used to not be able to do anything when his show comes on, but now I seem to be doing other things while he is on and only catching small snipids of material. I wish he would get more exciting again because right now it is a snooze fest.
Might mean something except for the fact that ALL of what Edwards says is crap.
Blacks will vote for Obama. Feminists will vote for Hillary, and the rest will go for Johnny.
There, fixed it.
I’m not a big O’Reilly fan (that is to say, I’m not one), but I happened to catch his point on his radio show yesterday about the contention between he and Edwards. Edwards has been touting 200,000 homeless servicemen in the US and states it’s because of the state of the G Bush economy. BO’Re’s reply to that has been to say A) there’s not 200,000 homeless servicemen in the US (what have we learned about democrat estimates of the homeless population) and that B) the preponderance of homeless servicemen are that way because of drug use and mental illness, not some economic reason.
I’d say that O’Reilly is correct on both points.
The big question every wants to know is; did he give any good hair care tips? Inquiring minds want to know.
Fixed what? This old lady has no intentions of ever for voting for billery
The women I know hate her worse than I do. She’s got the Dem female vote wrapped up. I don’t think she’s going to do well at all with GOP women.
Nah.
A whole bunch, will vote for Mitt. :)
A REAL feminist would hate Hillary because of the way she let Bill treat her.
I note that Letterman didn't offer any examples to back up his statement.
Yes, but the women in the Dem party are not real feminists. They consider weakness, stupidity and helplessness virtues. They are sheep. Just like the Democratic men.
...the preponderance of homeless who claim to be servicemen are that way because of drug use and mental illness, not some economic reason.
A huge proportion of the homeless falsely claim that they're veterans. Ask them what their MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) code was. More often than not, you'll just get a blank stare. Someone who's really served will have an immediate response.
B.G. (Jugs) Burkett thorouhly debunked the 'massive Vietnam vet homeless population' myth in his book Stolen Valor.
Yeah, right. Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby poll released on Wednesday: Obama leads Clinton 43 percent to 25 percent in the rolling tracking poll, with John Edwards a distant third at 15 percent.
