But there are some that are overpaid - plus the groups that rake in the bucks, like hospitals? Or perhaps the insurance companies make all the money.

I believe that insurance companies' profit margins are comparatively low. For some reason, I'm thinking 6%. It's definitely under 10% industrywide. Hospital costs have risen the fastest in the healthcare sector over the past 5 years, about an 18% clip, I believe. Here in St. Louis, you cannot find a hospital that is not building a huge new wing.

Romney has said he will appoint conservative justices. He has said Roe is BAD LAW, and should be overturned.

Romney is the only viable candidate with any hint of conservatism.

SFW!! He's still a rino. And if you want to keep rino/moderates in power in the Repub party and keep conservatism on the backburner then YOU'RE the one getting the dems elected!

I understand the logic in electing a republican over a dem, but the reality is if you keep electing rino's we lose conservatives and conservatism can not be advanced with rino/moderates.

The simple truth really is any repub is not better than than any dem. Conservatism is better than the dems. I say fight for conservatism first then worry about beating the dems. Beside a rino, doesn't have a very good good chance at beating Hillary or Obama at this point.

That’s the proper response as to Roe vs Wade. Ugly law. I hope it is revisited in my lifetime but in a world where every nominee has to kiss up to the altar of stare decisis I’m not holding my breath.

I disagree on several points. Hilliary has such high negatives that I do not believe she can win the election. Obama is going to get hammered on the experience issue and I don't believe he can get elected. Bottom line is I believe the Republican nominee is likely (not certain) to be elected whoever it is. If conservatives will just go and vote rather than staying home that likelyhood increases.

If I can't have a conservative as president then I at least want a good manager with a track record of turning businesses and organizations around, and Romney has that. Putting Hilliary or Obama in office, even if it is just 4 years, will do damage that will take decades to fix.

I agree. bttt

Voting for McCain destroys what remains of our sovreignty!

I'd rather be waterboarded than vote for John McCain.

You can do that, but I suggest if you really want to send a message about the Reagan Revolution not being dead, write in Ronald Reagan.

but RR IS dead and cannot be president... my purpose is not to "really send a message about the Reagan Revolution not being dead." i could not care any less about that than i already do... Fred Thompson was the one candidate who had my support... i don't really care to vote for the others at this point... i don't really care who of the remaining candidates gets the nomination... to me, they are all "not so good" for various reasons... who we end up with come November, i will have to see about plugging my nose and voting for that person... but for the primary race, i am writing in Fred Thompson's name...

Romney has said he will appoint conservative justices.

And I don't believe him.

He has said Roe is BAD LAW, and should be overturned.

Then why did he force the taxpayers of MA to subsidize every single abortion in the State?

Romney Pledged To Support Abortion Rights In 2002

And if these subsidized abortions were indeed Court mandated, why didn't Romney veto the entire Bill?

He didn't.

Romney signed the Bill. That made it law. The buck for that one stopped at Romney's desk. He could have quite easily vetoed it.

But sadly he didn't. Instead Romney's signature forced every single MA resident to subsidize abortions.

That Court ruling happened before Romney and his Socialized Medicine Bill was passed. Therefore he knew it would include subsidizing abortion.

No weaseling on this one.

While Romney's words are pro-life, his actions indicate otherwise.

You believe in a “Free Lunch”.

No, I do not.

I don’t.

No, but you believe in government infringement on Freedom.

We just disagree.

I have no problem disagreeing. Just don't claim Romney's position is a Conservative one. It is a liberal postion.

BTW: His (and your) "solution" doesn't address the root problem. It is simply a band-aid on top of a defective band-aid.

All your points are good reasoned synopsis. However, the problem is if we conservatives keep letting it be known we will vote for a rino/moderate anytime a true conservative doesn't get nominated, then we have lost the battle already.

At some point you have to say NO MORE RINO's and live or die with your decision. Mine was after the '06 election and I'll venture to guess there are millions of conservatives that feel the exact same way. And I'm speaking of conservatives who have voted in the past for rino/moderates because they were the lesser of two evils, but have decided no more.

You just can't keep supporting people who want to destroy conservatives and conservatism, even when it means a dem might get elected.

If you think it's going to get better by electing a rino, you people are sadly mistaken. Hillary probably can't get elected and Obama is too inexperienced, but I will never again vote for another rino!
