The Supreme Leader, ruling theocrats, and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad are all likely to find their tushies being forced out in a revolt because they are members of a cruel minority grinding down large numbers of people in the provinces who are starving. Few people are willing to starve quietly without protest. A number of revolts have already been quashed using Arab mercenaries, who as Sunnis, aren’t popular with the Shi’ia majority.

There is a good reason we, the U.S.A., hasn’t invaded Iran. We don’t have to, as the leaders there are doing a smash-up job of bringing that nation to its knees.

He has to be scaring the few intelligent people that are in the government over there.

With natural and gasoline subject to rationing when oil prices are so high, anyone with two brain cells to rub together will be wondering just where all the money is going.

Add that to the recent Revolutionary Guard provocation in the gulf — which has the potential to destabilize both exports of crude and imports of gasoline — and you are looking at a real mess.

Iran has to import significant quantities of gasoline because it does not have the refining capacity to produce enough of its own.
