Far better to have even Hillary than allow the GOP to foist upon us a half-wit, drooling snakehandler like Huckabee. With a Huckaboob election, the transomogrification of the GOP from the party of Reagan to that of the Bushies and the democrat-lites will be complete. If it takes another sojourn out in the wilderness to force conservative leaders into remembering that they can’t hand their supporters a piece of crap to lead and then expect them to follow, so be it.

Sad day for me. Could have voted for Fred with gladness in my heart. Can’t say that about any of the rest. I’ve never understood the animus I’ve read on these pages, from a few, directed at FDT. Didn’t make any sense. So bewildering.
But, I will NEVER vote for Huck, Rudy or, most especially, John McCain.
I am as fundamental Christian as you could meet, anywhere. My faith is THE most important thing in my life. But there is something about Huckabee that disturbs me. Gut instinct tells me, NO.
That only leaves a very reluctant vote for Romney, a write-in, or sitting the whole thing out. Haven’t made up my mind. Too early, and a lot could happen yet.
