MRSA is a big problem with hospital acquired infections That this one is extraordinarily contagious and robust is not a good thing. Another example of the widespread use of antibiotics selecting out truly nasty buggies.

MRSA really sucks, but, in most cases, including community type, it is treatable with sulfa drugs (e.g., bactrim) and bactrobam ointment.
Need to bring out the BIG guns first on this mo fo.
If you have a rash that seems to stay too long...
Do. Not. Delay...
Go to nearest ER, to your MD, or to your shaman.
It has a higher death rate than AIDS. About 20%, but those are, I’m guessing, cases with late treatment.
Talk about fatigue. Weak. Did I say fatigue. Not much pain,
Run, do not walk, to your MD.
I am always clean and straight. Just got dx last week.
It is contagious though. Do not share towels or lick each others’ wounds etc.
Common sense.
Blame excessive use of antibiotics for virus! Virus. I hope we all know antibiotics don’t work against virus. DUH. But stupid drs. prescribed it to satisfy the consumer who wants some pill for their sniffles. Now I have a fu-ing skin infection.
I say this for the public good.
Who says I am not public-spirited?
