“That’s the way to win them over... by insulting them with mixed metaphors. Brilliant.”

I am not trying to win them over. They’ve made their decisons, they are within their god given rights. Who am I to attempt to get them to swallow their principles? People tried that BS with me in ‘06 when I refused to vote for the slate of RINO’s or send one thin dime to the RNC. I have still not donated to the RNC and will not in the forseeable future.

However you are correct my needling was uncalled for and impolite and to any who were genuinley offended, I apologize.

The problem with the stay-home crowd is, they’re fundamentally right. There isn’t a candidate in this race worth the time, energy and effort the political season requires. It isn’t just voting. You’re talking to activists and political junkies, people who invest a good deal of themselves in this stuff. And we are talking about a man who has completely reversed himself on multiple, critical issues in the last four years. The hope, the only hope, is that he was lying to the people of Massachusetts then and not lying to us now. That’s the best we’ve got out of the four top candidates from this party. The other three are non-starters (though I’d consider Rudy in the general).

It’s easy to understand why the entire ring-wing of the party is despondent. And there’s a case to be made that RINO Republicanism needs a humiliating day at the polls in order to be completely smashed. Carter paved the road for Reagan. Maybe Clinton/Obama paves the way for the next great Conservative. We survived absolute leftist control before, we might be able to weather another round. But I don’t think we will. Not with these Marxists. Not in these times.

That’s why I have to vote for Romney. He’s the only shot we’ve got to stave off something truly awful. With Romney, we get a reprieve and time to work on winning back the House. If McCain or a Democrat gets in, we’ll have the “Fairness Doctrine”, we’ll have leftist judges using McCain-Feingold to shut down political web sites, it will be the end of all of us. Romney’s not going to pull any of that. He’s going to have to at least continue playing the part of a conservative for four years to get himself re-elected in 2012. Then the Mayan calender ends and the asteroid wipes us out and we’re all dead anyway.

Hey, I found a new tagline...
