Hey, I am serious.

After we got to the moon, how come we didn't build the moon base and go on to Mars? A couple of us ought to driving around by now, seeing what we can see.

And what about the moons of Mars as a base. Nobody at NASA ever read Heinlein?

As I understand it, Earth's Moon doesn't have enough "gravity" to support any long term human habitation.

So what do you think the chances of wasting time and money on a "moon" base on either Deimos or Phobos (Leather Goddesses notwithstanding)?

And, Deimos is breaking free of Mars, iirc, and Phobos is spiraling into Mars.
