My condolences to all of the freepers who passionately supported Fred Thompson.
Hopefully, he won’t bring humiliation to your support by endorsing McCain.
While I mistrusted him for his role in McCain/Feingold, he certainly had me cheering him at times in this primary process.

How about while you're waiting for the awakening you vote for whomever the nominee is so we will have SOMETHING left AFTER the hoped for awakening? How about the November '07 newb not lecture us less than an hour after Fred drops? We're not in a very good mood if you can't tell.

Huh? I did not get an email today from Fred’s campaign and I have contributed.

Crap.
I just got my Fred08 yard sign and bumper stickers yesterday via Fedex. I didn’t even open the box because of my sense of impending doom.
Argh..... Romney anyone? I need to remember all of the reasons I said I would never vote for Mitt but maybe I will remain ignorant like many others...
again, Crap.

I’m out too. It was Fred or no-one.
I can’t even think right now of supporting any of these RINO’s.
I’m gonna need a break from all this for a bit.
Pray for our country...we’re gonna need it.

Damn! Damn! Damn!My sentiments exactly, but with different words.

Sad day but not unexpected. Perhaps there will be a next time. Until then, onward and upward. We can’t give up the fight.

I was planning on voting for Thompson due to Hunter leaving...now maybe Paul or Romney, who knows.

First Hunter, now Thompson. Ive got no one left to vote for. No one? I plan on going to Mitt. Because he is a good candidate and I detest the thought of Hillary or Obama running the country.

Democrats will be democrats. When putative conservatives act like democrats, well, that invites trouble.

Please hang on lastbestlady. There is much good in the world. It just may be almost impossible to see now.

Without a conservative leader at the top of the ticket, conservatives will be squeezed between genuine liberals and wannabe liberal squishes. It will make ‘64 look like a cakewalk.
I’ll still vote for Fred in the Texas primary.
In the general I’ll either leave President blank or vote for some fringe 3rd party followed by voting for every conservative and against every socialist down the ballot.
Then, I’m emigrating to the Philippines: at least there is no pretense about there being a conservative party there [actually, I was going to move there anyway].

We aren’t playing into the Clinton plan if we all get behind Romney. If we don’t then the Dems will have a hugh victory and America will be the loser.
