With the SC outcome and his mother being sick it would have been difficult to see him do anything else. I hope his mother gets better and he gets to spend a lot of time just enjoying what’s really important - his family.
Fred lost his 38 year old daughter to an accidental overdose of prescription drugs almost 6 years ago. With his mother’s illness and his own brush with cancer, I’m sure family is playing a big role in his decision. As much as I wanted him to be the GOP nominee, I can respect his decision to quit. I wish him and his family well now and in the future. I guess it’s time to move on.
